Looking Into 2014

Here we are one month into the new year and boy is it cold here in Roanoke, VA. I've started the slow work of starting my second album in which I'm throwing around all kinds of titles. I was calling "Debut of a Lifetime" "Album #1" until it was almost finished. So I suppose I'll be calling the second album "Album #2" for quite a while longer.

One thing I've learned from the first album is that they kinda shape themselves after a while. Perhaps I'm just the catalyst pushing the buttons.

I'm looking forward to the festivals I have planned to set up a vendor booth in this year. I want to do Festival in the Park in May/June and Roanoke Pride in the Park in September. I thought this would be a good way to introduce people to my music and do some meet and greet too. I don't know if I'm going to be performing in these events or not, for one I haven't been asked nor have I volunteered. I'm not going to sweat it either way. If they want me to perform fine, if they don't fine. I'd actually rather set up my booth and have a nice time hanging out with the people.

I'm also going to branch out my advertising this year. I'm advertising in Off The Rails Theatre's program this season and I hope the Showtimer's Theatre program as well.  When the weather gets warmer, I plan on running ads in Tennessee and North Carolina too.

I'm finding out getting the word out about an album is a lot of hard work and can be quite expensive if you don't watch what you're doing. I'll just putter along as I can and hope for the best.
